Dr. Mackenzie Puckett
Bio
A native of Athens, Dr. Mackenzie Puckett grew up in a chiropractic household—her father, Dr. Mark Anthony, was a chiropractor. Although she received adjustments her whole life, it wasn’t until she was in her twenties that she considered chiropractic as a profession.
It was then that she started working with her father at Anthony Chiropractic Clinic. Seeing patients come in with all manner of symptoms and find hope and help through chiropractic care sparked her own passion. She followed in her father’s footsteps and attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia, receiving her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2017. She is also certified in Motor Vehicle Occupant Injuries.
Dr. Puckett joined her father’s practice in 2017 and took over the practice when he retired, becoming the second generation to provide outstanding chiropractic care for patients from newborns through seniors.
Specializing in prenatal and pediatric care, Dr. Puckett is certified in Webster technique and is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She is also completing an advanced pediatric certification through the ICPA. Her goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of health and wellness through gentle, effective chiropractic adjustments, nutrition and lifestyle advice, and exercise.
As a mom herself, Dr. Puckett knows the importance of prioritizing health for herself and her family, and that moms are the gatekeepers of a family’s health. That’s why she is so passionate about providing individualized, comprehensive care for our moms-to-be. Our goal is to help you and your family achieve optimal wellness and thrive.
When she’s not at work, Dr. Puckett loves spending time with her husband and young daughter. The whole family loves to be outside, hiking, fishing, kayaking—even when it’s cold!

She has worked with various patients including infants, children, and professional athletes. Dr. Corey lives in Kennesaw with her 3 beautiful children and cat, Kelvin.
One of my biggest struggles that eventually changed the course of my life came back to haunt me again this past year. Originally it was in my Junior year of high school, where I was struck by a sudden grabbing of intense pain after I bent over to pick up my softball glove. I fell to my knees and I could not stand back up. I was only 17. I had done what I had done a million times before, but that time my low back failed me. Our biggest game of the year against our rival was in 5 days, and I needed to pitch in that game. My parents, who both experienced chiropractic care for migraines and low back pain, immediately scheduled me an appointment with their chiropractor. He quickly became my favorite person as he was able to get me back on the field for that game with a win!
That special season, we went on to win the state championship, which I never would have thought possible on that first day I literally crawled into his office. In those following weeks, surrounded by all the anatomy charts on the walls, I became fascinated, and a spark of passion was ignited. I wanted to learn all I could about chiropractic, and I decided right then and there, I was going to school to become a Chiropractor so that I could help others like me. When I got to chiropractic school, I discovered my place in this world. Have you ever had a moment where everything just comes together and finally makes sense and now you have words to explain it? That was my moment.
Fast forward to present time…For the last 16 years, I have been committed to helping our community with their health and wellness journey. Connecting people back to their bodies naturally is my jam. Helping people understand how to move their bodies more efficiently is fun for me. As a former athlete, single mom of 3 kids, and full-time business owner, I know the demands that life can put on our bodies. And at the end of 2020, I got to experience them all over again.
The week before Christmas, I was running around like a mad woman trying to get it all done. I’m sure you know the frenzy I speak of. I turned to get out of my car, and once again was smacked with back pain and unable to move. I spent 3 days barely being able to walk, taking 20 minutes to move from position to position, and lots of crying thinking I was never going to walk again (yes, even doctors have desperate moments in the pit of pain and despair). It was probably one of the worst Christmases I have ever had. My kids had never seen me like that. Useless and helpless. They had to assist me with all my basic needs. Fortunately, as a chiropractor, I now have a lot of chiropractor friends who helped get me back on my feet and back into the office in a matter of 5 days. I will forever be grateful and amazed for how chiropractic always comes through for me. I will always feel honored to be able to show others.
